The Freight Shuttle Xpress system is a patented application of existing technologies based upon the most successful features of proven transportation technologies. For example, linear-induction motor systems have already been used in a variety of successful applications. This novel combination of features from the freight sector–including single unit transporters, elevated and dedicated guideways, and non-congesting terminals–is linked together by a state-of-the-art command, control, and communications system to produce a freight-delivery system that is emissions free at the point of service, reliable, and requires less maintenance than systems based on internal combustion engines.
